7/6/2022 Publication and Choral Arts Initiative's PREMIERE|Project Festival

Over the last month or so, two major changes have occurred in my professional life, as well as one life-changing development in my personal life. Of the professional developments, the first is that my piece, The Rose that Bare Jesu has been selected for publication by E. C. Schirmer, and is available now n their website at https://www.ecspublishing.com/the-rose-that-bare-jesu-tuomi.html, or through their authorized distributors! This is my first piece to enter traditional publication, and it is incredibly exciting for me!

The next cause for professional celebration is that last week, I had the great honor to participate in Choral Arts Initiative’s PREMIERE|Project Festival at Concordia University Irvine, where I had the opportunity to work with their fantastic composition faculty, Dominick DiOrio, Dale Trombone, and Derrick Skye, as well as their artistic director, Brandon Elliott, and assistant director (and great friend) Connor Scott! The experience was incredible, and has reinvigorated my energy in my summer composition projects!

Finally, my greatest cause for celebration is entirely unrelated to my professional career, but after nearly four years of being together, my partner and I have gotten engaged! We are both incredibly excited, and are looking to have the wedding sometime next summer!
